LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 98:Final)

EPISODE 98:Final

It’s been five years already. Jake's bones should be nothing but dust by now, the same goes for Mrs. Mallory.

The legion group have been dissolved and everyone had gone their separate ways. Well everyone except Kai and Allen, the bond between the two grew to be stronger than any of them had imagined.

An invite had been sent to the Brandon's residence, the two are set to get married before fall.

No one saw it coming, not even them.

Tiffany was still in prison, she was not the Tiffany of the past, both in appearance and character.

Why do people always realize their mistakes when it becomes too late. It happened to Mrs. Mallory, it happened to Jake, and it was happening to Tiffany too.

The implication of this is that not everyone gets a chance to right their wrongs, Mrs. Mallory didn't get her chance.

Spring was here again, five years ago, in this season of the year, tiny little butterflies flew in the hearts of Joey and Mandy and their love story started, but this year, spring didn't seem like it came to spark up plugs of love.

"Jake honey!" Mandy cried out from the living room. "Jake! Jake!" Mandy called out again and just like before, the silence was the reply she received.

"I think you should just go outside."

Joey had said with a giggle. "You should know your boy by now. You know once he starts his usual, nothing

anyone says passes through his ears."

Mandy gave Joey the 'I am frustrated' eyes. "What do I do with this child?" She asked Joey with her eyes.

Joey shrugged his shoulders

"Kiara baby where is your brother?" Mandy asked the four-year-old.

"I really don't know, mom. l asked him to let me join him in what he was doing but he just shoved me to the floor and then walked away." So much innocence.

God wasn't mistaken when he said anyone who would want to enter his kingdom must have the mind of a child.

The innocence with which Kiara narrated her stance to Mandy was so attractive and heart captivating.

"So you don't know where he is right now?" Mandy asked.

Little Kiara shook her head.

"Alright then. You can go back to what you were doing." Mandy said.

Taking three steps away, something caused Mandy to stop. She turned and then she looked at Kiara again. "Nah! What was I even thinking!" She said to herself as she walked inside.

"So... what was your son doing this time around?" Joey asked her as he takes his eyes away from his MacBook.

"How I wish I could answer that." Mandy moaned.

"What do you mean by that?" Joey asked her now feeling worried.

"I can't find Jake, Joey, I can't find my son!" Mandy cried out.

"What!" Joey exclaimed as he dropped

the MacBook and then stood up immediately.

About twenty minutes later Kiara ran inside crying profusely. The tears refused to stop pouring, it just rushed out continuously.

"Baby what's wrong?" Mandy asked her as she drew her into her arms for a bear hug to get the little child to stop crying.

FLASHBACK FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO

"If you say a word I'm going to slice your throat with this knife. Just quietly drop the ball and come with me." The man with a nice body build said to little Jake of five.

Kiara was behind the wall watching what was happening. She had opened her mouth to scream when Jake put his finger across his lips, something he always did when he wants Kiara to keep shut. He gave her a smile, trying to make the little girl believe everything was alright.

The two were always at each other's throats but deep down, the filial affectioh they had for one another was stronger than anything.

He gestured with his hands asking Kiara to go back inside the house still wearing the smile on his face. Kiara didn't move, she just stood behind the wall watching Jake until she could no longer see him.

END OF FLASHBACK

Joey had gone to keep back the glass that contained apple juice which was way inside Kiara's Tommy by now. They had done everything they could to get the little girl to stop crying.

"Now do you want to tell mummy what happened?" Mandy said wiping off the tiny pockets of tears that still hung around her eyelashes.

"Yes!" Kiara said nodding her head.

"Go on then."

"I was walking around the house when I finally saw Jake. It seemed like he had stepped out for a bit to get his ball because he had it in his hands when suddenly a huge and gigantic man walked in and grabbed Jake from behind. He held something that looked like that which mom uses in chopping

onions and carrots for noodles around

Jake's throat. It seemed like he whispered something to Jake and Jake dropped his ball and then he went with the man with a smile on his face. He gestured to me not to make any sound so I couldn't. I just stood there, I just stood there unable to do anything than just watch my brother be dragged away by someone." Kiara explained.

For a child who is just four, Kiara was way too smart and too sharp. She could talk perfectly and she somehow just knew the words to use in expressing how she felt. Although she is four, she was brighter than Jake who was a year older.

"Do you remember what he looked like?" Joey asked the little girl who was still sobbing and sniffing her nose.

"Mmmhhhm, yes I do," Kiara said.

"Can you tell us then!" Mandy inquired

"Well, one thing I can clearly say is that he looked so much like Jake. It was more like I was looking at grown-up Jake." Kiara said.

Mandy looked at Joey. Something wasn't right.

*****************

Jake just sat there helpless and defenseless. The little boy was scared but he didn't show it. His dad had taught him to toughen up and never show his enemy his fears.

"Do you want anything to eat or to drink?" The man asked little Jake.

Jake stared at him, saying nothing but just staring.

"Do you want anything to eat or to drink?" The man asked again. Still, Jake said nothing but just stare.

"Don't be scared, I'm not going to hurt you. I don't bite. I just wanted to look at you up close and that's all. I'm sorry I had to drag you to this place the way I, did, I just had to do that so you don't attract attention."

"Jake!" Mandy screamed as she saw the man. She ignored him and then she ran towards her child.

"You...you are still alive. But we, we buried you." Joey exclaimed as he saw Jake stand before him, bigger Jake.

"It's a long story man!" Jake replied. "I think we should go to a better place to talk." Jake had suggested.

"You can take the kids home, I would come to be with you later," Joey said to Mandy.

Mandy was reluctant, she didn't want to leave, she didn't want to leave Joey all alone with Jake.

"Just go don't worry, everything is going to be alright," Joey assured Mandy, and then she left with the kids.

"Let's talk at Just-For-You cafe, it's not far from here, and, yh, no one would see you," Joey said, he could already sense what was going on.

"How did you find me?" Jake asked.

"A leopard never leaves its spot. This was our stake-out spot whenever we wanted to run away from home, remember?" Joey said.

"You still remember!"

"We may not be friends anymore, but there are still some things about each other that are already stuck there and no matter how hard we try to forget them they just can't seem to leave our memory," Joey replied.

"So, your daughter, I guess?" Jake asked.

"Nah, she isn't. She's Tiffany's. We adopted her because Tiffany pleaded to say she didn't want her daughter to be raised up in an orphanage nor in a prison so, we took her in." Joey replied.

"Tiffany got pregnant?" Jake exclaimed.

"Yh, and apparently, she is your daughter," Joey confirmed.

"My daughter?" Jake asked confused and shocked. "Tiffany has some explaining to do."

"So tell me how are you still alive, we buried you," Joey asked perplexed.

"I am just as surprised as you are. The doctors said my survival was a miracle too, was already declared dead and my death time was already recorded, but then, it was almost as if another me came into the world, and while it came l was magically brought back to life. So I had come to take some of my stuff when saw it on the runway. Let's just say it's a miracle, and God had decided to give me a second shot at life." Jake explained.

"So this second chance of yours, what are you going to do with it," Joey asked Jake.

When life gives you second chances, what exactly do you think that is? Why does it let you get a shot at that which you failed already again?

Jake said nothing, but he just looked at Joey and smiled.

THE END.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you all had fun?🥰🥰🥰

  1. Mmmh I cannot really say all that is welled up inside of me, but I just wished that JAKE should leave the presence of JOEY and MANDY alone, for both to enjoy their love of so long a time now that has been deprived by the so called friends.🙏🙏🌹🌹
