One night stand with my president(chapter 111)

Chapter 111: Many Rivals in Love

Adeline just mentioned it casually, but Harrison felt a bit uneasy.

He wondered if he had disturbed her sleep last night.

With that thought, Harrison suddenly felt guilty and resolved not to drink so much in the future.

Finally, the auction began.

The competition at this auction was intense, with each party continuously raising bids. As the prices soared, the atmosphere grew tense.

The current bid had reached 2.4 billion dollars, with some small enterprises dropping out, leaving only a few major conglomerates in the race.

By the time the bid reached 4 billion dollars, only Harrison and Russell remained.

The others present had long given up, waiting to see which conglomerate would secure the new commercial district.

After all, the Thomson Group and the Hunter Group were evenly matched.

If these two started to compete, it would be quite a spectacle.

At this moment, Adeline, sitting between Harrison and Russell, felt the most uncomfortable.

Just then, Harrison leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "Do you want me to win this commercial district?"

Adeline was startled, then nodded honestly.

After all, she was still with the Thomson Group, so the Thomson matched.

After all, she was still with the Thomson Group, so the Thomson new commercial district for 4 billion dollars.

He glanced unexpectedly at Russell.

The others present began to whisper.

No one had expected Russell to give up bidding at 4 billion dollars. In their minds, the Hunter Group still had the ability to compete with the Thomson Group.

After the auction ended, reporters were outside the venue, all eager to interview Harrison.

But usually, at such times, Harrison would not grant interviews.

Adeline had some bodyguards block the reporters and then stood in front of the camera to answer some questions on Harrison's behalf.

After the reporters dispersed, Adeline turned back and found Harrison leaning against the car, waiting for her.

His lips curled into a smile as he gazed at her.

Adeline's heart skipped a beat.

Normally, Harrison would have already gotten into the car.

But now, he was waiting for her outside the car.

Adeline forced herself to remain composed, walking over to him and asking, "Mr. Thomson, why haven't you gotten into the car yet?"

"Just wanted to see what you look like at this time," Harrison said. "You're doing well."

Adeline smiled and said, "Thank you for the compliment."

Seeing her smile, Harrison was momentarily lost in thought.

But soon he snapped out of it, coughing lightly and saying, "I troubled you last night. How about I take you out for dinner tonight as a thank you?"

Adeline was about to decline.

But looking into Harrison's eyes, she suddenly couldn't bring herself to refuse.

"Okay."

At her agreement, Harrison felt relieved.

"Let's get in the car," Harrison said.

Just as they were about to get in, they heard someone calling from behind.

"Ms. Hensley! Brother!"

Hearing the voice, Harrison couldn't help but rub his temples.

Soon, Ronan came running over, panting.

Ronan said, "Are you two going out for dinner? Can I join you? I'm so hungry."

After that, Ronan looked at Adeline with a pitiful gaze.

But before Adeline could respond, Harrison ruthlessly cut in, "If you're hungry, go home and eat. It' s time to report to Grandpa about what you've learned today. It's also a way to repay his kindness in nurturing you.”

Ronan seemed to want to argue, but seeing Harrison's icy expression, he could only reluctantly nod, then looked at Adeline with jealous eyes as she got into the car with Harrison.

If only he could be as talented as Harrison.

Then he could join the company sooner.

Perhaps Adeline would be his assistant.

At the very least, he could spend more time with her.

In fact, four years ago, he had seen Adeline once.

At that time, he had just entered university, and his roommates, upon learning that he was from the Thomson family, had clamored for him to take them to visit the Thomson Group.

At that time, he was young and playful, so he really took a few roommates to sneak into the Thomson Group.

But at that time, few people in the company knew Ronan.

Later, they were discovered by a manager from some department. He scolded the young men. Ronan was angry and claimed that he was one of the heirs of the Thomson family and scolded the manager even more harshly.

At that moment, Adeline appeared.

She helped them out and escorted them out of the Thomson Group, smiling and telling him to study hard and not to be mischievous.

From that moment on, this gentle and beautiful lady left a good impression on him.

But now, Adeline was always by Harrison's side, and it seemed that she had forgotten about that incident from years ago...

After all, when he first visited the president's office, Adeline looked at him with unfamiliar eyes.

She only recognized him when she heard his name.

It had been four years, and for her, it was probably just a trivial matter. How could she remember?

Ronan's eyes were filled with disappointment.

Just then, he caught sight of Russell walking out of the venue.

As soon as he appeared, the reporters swarmed around him.

Usually, Russell would answer a few questions from reporters.

But this time, he signaled for his assistant to handle the interviews and got into the car alone.

Ronan overheard two people nearby discussing.

"What's wrong with Mr. Hunter today? He seems in a bad mood."

"Isn't it obvious? He didn't win the commercial district. How could he be in a good mood?"

"But I thought Mr. Hunter would continue bidding. He could easily have gone up to 4.2 billion dollars!"

"Yeah, Mr. Hunter stopped at 4 billion dollars. I didn't expect that."

Listening to these two, Ronan suddenly felt a jolt in his heart.

Indeed, the Hunter Group had always been able to compete with the Thomson Group.

Why did Russell give up so easily on this new commercial district?

Moreover, before the auction began, Russell had mentioned wanting to change seats.

Russell refused.

Could it be that he didn't want to leave Adeline's side?

Ronan thought, "Could he also have feelings for Adeline?"

Ronan scratched his head in distress.

With Harrison already in the picture, Russell was in as well.

Ronan thought, "Why do I have so many rivals in love?"
