One night stand with my president(chapter 112)

Chapter 112: Just the Two of You

After getting into the car, Harrison asked Adeline, "What would you like to eat?"

Adeline, not really in the mood to think about food, replied, "Anything is fine for me. You decide, Mr. Thomson."

Harrison suggested. "I know a great restaurant for light food."

"Great." Adeline nodded.

After that, both of them fell silent.

The driver drove quietly.

After a while, Harrison couldn't resist asking, "Did I really not do anything last night?"

Adeline hesitated, not replying.

He was quite persistent about this matter.

After a moment's thought, she said expressionlessly, "Actually, you did."

"What did I do?" Harrison asked immediately.

"You were insisting on having roasted lamb," she replied.

The driver trembled.

If he didn't have exceptionally high mental resilience and skill, the car might have swerved by now.

At this moment, he cursed himself for having heard that sentence.

Harrison was speechless.

He remembered now. He did mention roasted lamb in the message he sent to Adeline.

Did he really make a scene about wanting roasted lamb in front of Adeline?

He tried to recall but couldn't remember.

Just then, Adeline turned to him and asked seriously, "So, how about we go for roasted lamb instead?"

Harrison felt a bit embarrassed.

He said, "No, let's stick with the original plan."

"Okay."

Adeline turned her head back, suppressing a smile.

She suddenly found that teasing Harrison was quite amusing.

To witness Harrison blushing was a rare sight.

Harrison naturally noticed her smile.

He sighed and said, "Just laugh if you want to."

He indeed had made a fool of himself after drinking too much.

Being mocked by her was what he deserved.

"Oh, I'm not laughing," Adeline blinked innocently and said. "You must be mistaken."

Harrison couldn't help but smile.

He ruffled her hair and said, "You're quite the tease."

"Me? I wouldn't dare," Adeline laughed.

"Don't accuse me wrongly."

Seeing her smiling face, Harrison suddenly wanted to kiss her.

He thought, "It would be nice if she were my girlfriend."

Then he could be bolder when he wanted to kiss her.

Harrison's intense gaze made Adeline's heart flutter.

She quickly turned her head away, unable to meet his gaze.

She wished time could freeze at this moment.

She could ignore the obstacles between them and all the annoying things, just enjoying this moment with him.

The car soon stopped at the entrance of a restaurant.

As they got out of the car and stepped inside, they ran into an acquaintance.

"Harrison, Ms. Hensley, what a coincidence. You're here for dinner too?" Milania walked over, smiling.

"Milania.”

"Ms. Barrera."

Milania glanced behind them but didn't anyone, and her smile took on a hint of meaning. "Just the two of you?"

Before Harrison could say anything, Adeline quickly said, "I accompanied Mr. Thomson to an auction this afternoon, and we decided to have dinner on the way back."

"Oh, I see," Milania nodded.

Harrison turned to look at Adeline, his gaze gradually dimming.

"Well, go ahead. I'll leave first," Milania said with a smile.

After Milania left, the waiter led Harrison and Adeline upstairs.

"What do you mean 'on the way back ?" Out of the blue, Harrison's voice startled Adeline.

"Um... Do you want others to know about what happened last night?"

Adeline asked in surprise.

If she mentioned that Harrison invited her to dinner because he "caused her trouble," Milania might ask what trouble he caused.

That would be difficult to answer.

Harrison said, "No, not really."

But he felt he didn't like that answer.

What answer did he like then?

Were they on a date? But they weren't on a date…

Harrison felt troubled.

After Milania left the restaurant, she saw her driver waiting for her at the door, already in the car.

Instead of hurrying into the car, she took out her phone and made a call.

Soon, a distraught voice answered, "Mom, what's wrong?"

"Ronan, have you had dinner?" Milania asked gently.

"Not yet, I don't know what to eat," Ronan said.

"Really? I just saw your brother and Ms. Hensley at a restaurant.

I remember you attended the auction today too. Why didn't you join them for dinner?" Milania asked.

Mentioning this made Ronan even more despondent.

"I wanted to go with them, but Harrison wouldn't agree."

"I see," Milania replied nonchalantly. "It seems like Harrison wants to have some alone time with Ms. Hensley. Are they close?"

Ronan said gloomily, "I feel like he is quite possessive of Ms. Hensley. He never lets me get too close to her."

Milania chuckled and said, "Seems like you also like Ms. Hensley?"

"Uh... well, if Ms. Hensley were with me," Ronan replied. "Besides, Harrison won't easily give her up.

Now that he's in charge of the Thomson Group, if you want Ms. Hensley, you'd have to replace him."

"Mom, you must be overestimating me! I'm already overwhelmed just being the deputy director of the HR department.”

"You're hopeless," Milania laughed and scolded. "Alright, just kidding. Anyway, work hard at the company and learn from others,

Okay?"

Ronan grumbled, "Okay, you've told me that many times."

"Alright, go eat now."

After hanging up, Milania glanced at the restaurant, a mysterious smile playing on her lips, then she turned and got into the car.

In the private room, Harrison and Adeline each held a menu.

"What would you like to eat?" Harrison asked.

Adeline initially thought of just having something simple but suddenly felt hungry.

"I'd like to have roast beef, ribs, and pizza," she said unabashedly.

Harrison chuckled and said, "Sure, let's order them all."

His smile carried a clear sense of indulgence, causing even the waiter to sneak a few more glances at him. He thought Harrison was a great guy, being handsome and caring to his girlfriend.

"Anything else you'd like?" Harrison asked again.

"I don't think the two of us can eat too much," Adeline said. "You haven't ordered yet."

"It's fine, just order what you want. If we can't finish, we'll pack it for Sam," Harrison replied.

At the same time, back at home, Sam suddenly sneezed.
