Chapter 114: Are You Dating Someone?

Harrison said lightly, "Don't worry. I'm not going to argue with an elder who is currently ill."

Adeline breathed a sigh of relief.

When they arrived at the door of Lacey's ward, they happened to see Oliver coming out with a hot water bottle.

"Adeline, you're here." Oliver greeted her.

Soon, his gaze fell on Harrison behind Adeline.

He blurted out, "Are you dating someone?"

Adeline was speechless.

They hadn't even seen Lacey yet, and Oliver had already embarrassed her.

Since she had her back to Harrison, Adeline didn't see the slight upward curve of his lips.

"Don't talk nonsense." Adeline hurriedly said, "This is Mr. Thomson."

Oliver knew Adeline worked at the Thomson Group, so he naturally understood who Mr. Thomson was.

He was so scared he almost dropped the hot water bottle, nervously saying, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Thomson.”

Harrison usually didn't interact much with strangers, but this time he nodded at Oliver.

"Nice to meet you," Harrison responded.

Oliver quickly stepped aside, and then winked at Adeline.

The implication was, how come Harrison was here with her in the hospital?

Adeline gave him a look, silently telling him to be honest and not to speak out of turn.

Whether Oliver understood or not, he nodded.

Adeline led Harrison into the hospital room.

Lacey was chatting with Bianca on the bed.

Seeing Adeline, Lacey smiled happily, but when she saw Harrison following closely behind Adeline, her eyes widened.

She blurted out, "Adeline, when did you get a boyfriend?"

Adeline was speechless.

They were truly like mother and son.

But Bianca recognized Harrison and quickly said, "This is Mr. Thomson, right?"

She often browsed gossip news and had seen Harrison and Eleanor's photos trending last time.

"Yes, this is Mr. Thomson, my boss, "Adeline said. "Lacey, Mr. Thomson heard you were sick, so he came specifically to see you."

Lacey was surprised and immediately tried to get out of bed.

Harrison quickly said, "Lacey, you don't have to be so polite, just rest well. I'm here to see you, not to cause you trouble."

Bianca, with her keen eye, immediately took the flowers and gifts from Harrison.

Lacey smiled and said, "Thanks for your consideration."

"It's only right," Harrison said.

Bianca then brought a chair for Harrison to sit on and then turned to wink at Adeline, just like Oliver did earlier.

Adeline made a gesture to her, signaling her to be honest and not to speak out of turn.

After Harrison sat down, he started chatting with Lacey.

He didn't display any executive demeanor but was like an ordinary

junior, concerned about the health of his elder.

"How have you been feeling lately?" Harrison asked.

"I haven't felt anything wrong, just sometimes dizzy and wanting to sleep," Lacey said with a smile.

"I know, there's a tumor in my brain, but I think it should be fine. I know my own health."

Harrison said, "This is not a trivial matter. You should still seek treatment. I happen to know an expert in this field, but he's currently abroad. I've already contacted him, and he'll be back in a week. I'll have him come over to treat you then."

Before Lacey could respond, Bianca. exclaimed excitedly, "Really? Thank you so much!"

She was so excited that she even wanted to shake hands with Harrison, but she ultimately didn't dare and just pinched Adeline hard.

Adeline winced, glared at her, and then secretly pinched her back.

"You're adults now. Don't act like a child," Lacey scolded her.

"Mom, I'm just so happy...”

Lacey smiled at Harrison again and said, "Thank you so much, Mr. Thomson. But sorry to trouble you."

"It's no trouble," Harrison said gently.

He glanced at Adeline and added,"Ms. Hensley has helped me a lot before, so it's only right for me to do something for her family."

Lacey and Harrison chatted happily, while Bianca discreetly pulled Adeline out of the hospital room.

Oliver was waiting outside.

"You're amazing!" Bianca said with a mischievous smile, "Even someone like Mr. Thomson is under your control!"

"What nonsense are you talking?" Adeline glared at her and said, "If you dare to say such things in front of Mr. Thomson, you'll be in big trouble."

"Oh, don't worry," Bianca said.

"Am I crazy? I hardly dared to talk to Mr. Thomson, except just now when he said he could find an expert to treat my mom. I was just too excited."

"What's going on between you and Mr. 

Thomson?" Oliver asked foolishly.

Adeline hesitated for a moment, saying, "Nothing's going on. He just heard that Lacey was sick and came to see her."

"Don't play dumb," Bianca said with a sneaky smile, "Mr. Thomson is your boss, but he lowered his posture for you."

Adeline was taken aback.

Bianca continued, "What did it mean? It showed he values you and treats your family as his."

Adeline's heart raced.

"No wonder, he called you that night even it if was late," Bianca said and felt excited as if she found some secrets.

But soon she was puzzled. "But aren't Mr. Thomson and Eleanor in love? The internet was buzzing about it, saying Eleanor was Mr.

Thomson's sweetheart, and when she returned to the country, Mr. Thomson specially went to pick her up, and they even went to a hotel together...”

Before Adeline could say anything, Bianca got angry.

"You can't be fooled by him! Even though Mr. Thomson is rich, powerful, and handsome, if he's playing both sides, you can't just let it go!" Bianca said.

Adeline felt like laughing, yet touched.

Even though they had never gotten along since they were young, when it came to real matters, they still cared about each other.

"Don't talk nonsense. He's not two-timing," Adeline said.

"There's nothing between us. We're just in a superior-subordinate relationship."

She didn't know what was going on between Harrison and Eleanor.

But Adeline suddenly felt a bit guilty.

They had kissed and even slept together.

Could it still be called a normal superior-subordinate relationship?

"But he treated you differently!"

Bianca asserted firmly.

Oliver, who had been listening, asked,

"Adeline, do you like him?"
